Keys to Spiritual Gifts
1. They are given by grace and practiced by faith.
Romans 12:6
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.
2. Every gift is essential
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
3. Spiritual Gifts only become fulfilling when we give them away.
1 Corinthians 12:7
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
Romans 12:7-8
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
What about the heart?
My heart is why I say, feel, and act the way I do.
Matthew 15:18
But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
It is good to live with all our heart!
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
